party ready...

i love getting the house ready for a party!!! especially a party for kids...what could be more fun!?!? due to certain circumstances (#3), i had to have a joint birthday party for ellis and beckett this year. no big deal to me...but i wasn't sure how ellis would take the news. surprisingly, she was ok with it...delcaring that she wanted a purple pony birthday party but that beckett could have an elmo pinata there :) isn't she sweet?! so i racked my brain...thinking of ways i could incorporate my boy into the mix...and the rodeo party was born. her other favorite color right now is blue...PERFECT :) blue and purple were to be the colors of the day!!!

the invite...how cute right? i designed it...saw the boy and girl images on etsy...used the colors of the day and voila. my friend ally made it in photoshop and printed it through her printer :) it is hard to see but their hats have their ages in the star...and then i replicated onto a real hat!!! too much time on my hands huh?

the welcome...every kid got a hat (36 kids to be exact!) which they could paint or just wear :)
the cupcake center :) 2 chairs waiting for my buckaroos to be sung happy b-day to!
a close-up of the cupcake toppers...i am in LOVE w/ these...another etsy purchase :)

the food & cupcake eating center :) burlap table cloths- $3 each from hobby lobby fabric center! bandanas online...we served chik-fil-a nuggets & hot dogs...and beer! oh...and sweet tea :) you can't tell from this picture but there were hay bales everywhere too...brandon hooked me up...someone he knows through work delivered and picked them up for us...for nada!

the hat decorating center (front porch)...so messy but so fun...and 100% washable...i am not totally crazy!

more hats :) and i actually spray painted that table just for the party. i couldn't have a RED table there!!! ellis would have died!

and the petting zoo. i didn't get a picture of it with all of the animals :( they had a rabbit, pigs, baby goats, chickens, ducks, and even a llama. so fun!!
the kids also played on the bouncy, a roller coaster (huge hit elizabeth!), and the playscape...pics from the real party coming soon!!!
