my almost 18 month old

uh...she is so stinkin' sweet.  i took a little video of her saying a few things...just so i can look back at the cuteness whenever i want :)  she can say anything and everything these days (or at lease make a really good attempt) ignore the boo boo on her shoulder...she took a little spill on her trike yesterday.  the video is less than a minute...make sure you watch till she says "i love you"....adorbs :)

ellis has been working on reading & writing...loves to make lists :)  here is a pretend grocery list she made for me...

and yes, that would be greyhound as in vodka + grapefruit.  she knows me too well!

just another day with beckett

i am still cleaning blood out of the carpet...

quite possibly the cutest soccer player ever :)

he literally smiles the ENTIRE game...running up and down the field smiling ear to ear!  so. darn. cute.  btwn the sharks (b's team) and the dolphins (e's team), saturday mornings are spent on the soccer fields...and we kinda love it...so far :)

i should also note that emery is doing a fantastic job as team mascot/cheerleader :)

she learned it from watching him

with ellis in school, there's a new sheriff in town.  his name is beckett...and he is emery's new role model.  not cool.  not cool at all.  she wants to do EVERYTHING he does.  watches his every move...and then copies!

 here she has decided to get her own stool to explore the pantry...

 and then he taught her this little trick...drag the ladder over to climb into your crib to get whatever animal/blanket/etc...

i am so screwed.

dare i say it?

i can almost call him a big boy!!  he started REAL preschool on tuesday AND didn't cry.  he actually didn't even almost cry.  he was like get the eff outta here mom...seriously you are embarrassing me.  and me?  i was thrilled to get the eff outta there :)  

here he is right before leaving for his first day...emery still in her jammies :)  she is playing hookey from school this year!!  as you can see from these pics, she is head over heels for him (when he isn't taking things from her)...

they don't stay still for long...

and he started soccer...we still aren't sure how this will play out...first game tomorrow.  more to come!

he is still LIGHT YEARS behind where ellis was @ this age in maturity but i can almost tell he might be a normal kid sometime in the nearish future...

labor day means longhorns

i was horrible and only took 3 pictures on game day :(  and they weren't even good!  lucky for us, there are more game days to come.  we weren't in austin for even 24 hours...but it was a fab time as usual...longhorns won too!

crewcuts had burnt orange bubble skirts this summer...had to get them! and look how cute lady gaga is....ellis is obsessed...

beckett starts school tomorrow...i will be somewhere celebrating :)
