am i really posting thanksgiving in February?

why yes, yes i am.  and what a thanksgiving it was.  of course we had the school parties leading up to the big day...Bebe, our fav pilgrim, made a showing at emery's feast (which em loved).  we were extra thankful this year because our great friends, the James family, came to austin for the fun!  Texas played Texas tech and Jeff surprised Bebe in a turkey costume.  so. damn. funny.  the kids all had a blast.  we had a big crowd at the house as usual...we love austin thanksgivings!

i also have to mention the frozen red bull vodkas that flowed all day...SCARY.

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year!!  I wish I could have talked emery into a different costume but I can't complain...at least she wore one.  She was Snow White for her parade and party and Ariel on Halloween night.  

When i ask her to smile for a picture, 90% of the time she does a cheerleader pose!?!!

We go to a party in the neighborhood every year...so much fun!  there must be 30 or 40 kids.  Love it!

isn't she a doll!?!  i had to take a second mortgage on my house to buy the costume, but it was totally worth it (right, Bebe?)

and i even got to wear it as a slutty gargoyle :)  she wasn't happy about it- i had to rent it from her for $5.  the price went up to $7 when she saw i had the tail on too.  

how about miley!?!  she broke the hostesses oven that night twerking on it!

it finally happened!!

at just shy of 7 1/2 years old, ellis has lost her first tooth!!!  she was more excited than i have ever seen her...including christmas!!!  she is the last 2nd grader i know of to lose one- VERY big deal :)  she had been working on that little sucker in her bed until she came in around 10 p.m. to present us with the tooth.  you know what that means...pray you have cash in your wallet!  i did (shocking) :)  i then sent a text to a friend who's little girl also lost her first tooth this week (kindergarten) and she replied with "don't forget the tooth fairy dust"....uuuuuuuh...what?  yes.  these days you have to leave $ AND a glitter trail!!!  all of the kids talk about it apparently.  while i am not dumb enough to keep glitter in a house that emery and beckett reside in, i did just recently buy glitter eye liner (don't ask)!!!  so i made glitter "finger prints" all over the $5 bill.  genius, no?  ellis noticed FIRST THING!!!  thanks sharon :) i owe you one!!!

THRILLED LITTLE GIRL!!!  also- the month of september completely escaped from me!  where did it go???  actually, i think i spent the entire month in the car with three different school pick up times.  oh and vegas.  and austin.  and tomorrow....MEXICO!
