pumpkin monster

that is the pumpkin monster.  i am room mom for ellis' class this year...which really just means you plan the holiday parties!!  fun fun!  parties consist of a snack, a craft, a game, and usually a book.  our game was "feed the pumpkin monster".  ellis and i made the monster...which explains why SHE is purple in color and has a bow on her head :)  the game was to stand behind the line and throw candy corn into her mouth...a little twist on the old bean bag toss.  i also had the pleasure of making a blue one too...just for fun...can't leave little brother out of the fun :)

i am just about halloweened out!

halloween is a crazy busy holiday.  there is more build up for halloween than than there is for christmas.  we have been to the pumpkin patch countless times, halloween parties @ school, halloween parade, halloween playgroup, a pumpkin carving party...tomorrow we are doing zoo boo, saturday is fall festival and then sunday the big day is FINALLY here!!!

this was ellis' costume for school...we couldn't pass it up when we saw it :) you can't tell from the picture, but it is covered in red sequins.  fabulous.

we got it from marshalls...they have THE BEST costumes....great quality and inexpensive

and here is beckett.  this is his alternative look :)  how cute are his skinny jeans?!?  they are from the gap and i am pretty sure they really are skinny jeans.  perfect color for horns games...

his class isn't allowed to dress up...too hard with so many in the class that aren't potty trained (of course we aren't one of them!).  oh- and can you tell his hair was CHOPPED again???  

spooked

we were spooked!

we came home one day to find a ghost hanging on our front door and all of the goodies you see in the picture (including champagne for the adults...bonus points to the spooker!)  when you get spooked, you then go spook someone else w/ fun treats!!  love it :)  you then hang the ghost out front so people know you have already been spooked.  the kids were thrilled...almost like christmas morning!

back to the patch

we have had no shortage of trips to the pumpkin patch this year...including the hell called dewberry farms. but this was the first time i actually took pictures of my "big kids". i didn't even try to match them because we were minus one :) so what's the point really??

beckett needs a haircut SO bad. on my to-do list for next week :) still cute though...

she picked her outfit. not so perfect for 90 degrees but there were no complaints...

he insisted on a "cary" shirt (scary shirt)...

you know how i get them to both smile (REAL SMILES) at the same time? i talk about poop. i didn't say it was pretty...but it works :) don't they almost look the same age here?? i swear they are like twins these days...best friends (and worst enemies)...

the pumpkin hat

emery and i had a date @ the pumpkin patch. just me and her :) you know i love a good photo opp. and she ALWAYS cooperates for me...always so damn happy!!!

i am having issues w/ my camera so a ton of the PERFECT ones didn't turn out (nothing to do w/ my tiny model)...

i love her sweet little frown in this one. i guess she didn't like the look of the stranger that was trying to talk to her :) smart girl.

i stuck a bow in her hair for a few pics. the jury is still out on this look. i just don't think it looks right w/ out a good amount of hair. and i refuse to put those stretchy headbands w/ the bow attached on her. i just can't get on board with those...

was it cold this day? no. did emery wear a pumpkin hat regardless? you better believe it!

mexico

we took the little saying on the card they left on the bed to the extreme!!! we did NOTHING! we were super impressed with the place we stayed...a-ma-zing...

we did actually go to a tequila tasting (which meant taking a shot of 3 different tequilas)...the next night was a mojito tasting...brandon drank those while i drank what i consider to be the BEST margarita i have ever had. yum!!!! i had lots :)

that's about it...i only took like 10 pictures!! a HUUUUUGE thanks to everyone who made this trip possible by looking after my 3 perfectly wonderful children :)

bueno

we got the texas game to work here in mexico :) made for a happy brandon...especially since we beat some cornhusker ass. he rigged it up on our big tv via his computer (which we could see from the patio) and we also had it on my laptop...so i could watch it from our pool. bueno :)

i could kiss this face all day long...drool and all :) her hair is starting to grow a little...kinda looks like sonic the hedgehog. will it be straight? curly? blonde? brown? only time will tell!!!

10 years

we are off to mexico to celebrate 10 years of marriage! i plan on doing a whole lot of nothing while there. i might get off the chaise lounge just in time for dinner...can't wait!! sorry for the random pictures of the place we are staying...weird sizes??

she now "plays" in the backyard w/ ellis and beckett...loves watching them on the swing set...and they love showing off for their baby sister :)

and she now can fully enjoy the playroom...enough w/ that laying on her back lameness...now she can really have fun!

then i introduced her to the penguin. she is not a fan.

and when daddy decides to go hunting after work (last minute!!)...all 3 of them are bathed together. this was a first and actually worked out pretty great. yay!
