end of summer!

 sorry for the lack of posting this week!  we had our annual float the river trip this past weekend and i slept a total of 10 hours over 3 nights...NO JOKE!  i have been trying to play catch up...

ellis met her 1st grade teacher tonight!!  so super exciting :)  she starts monday and has an AWESOME class...yay!!  beckett and emery don't start for a couple more weeks...counting down the minutes for that  :)

they had a pep rally at the end of the week to perform their cheers, chants and dances.  so ridiculously cute!!!

sleepover summer

i have major love for slumber parties!!!  what is better than getting to spend a whole night with your friends??!!  i STILL love slumber parties...maybe even more now :)  ellis had her first real sleepovers this summer (although she had an unplanned one last summer!).  SO MUCH FUN!!!!  

they made pizza & cupcakes, swam, watched movies, painted nails, etc.  girls are just soooo sweet and sooo good!!!

Sea World

so i have to admit, i was kinda not looking forward to sea world.  i knew it would be super hot & super crowded...add to that the fact that my kids are professional whiners...not a fab combo.  BUT i was wrong about all of it!!!!  we got there at 9:30 and had literally done everything i had planned on before the clock even struck noon!!!  we waited in NO lines and somehow it wasn't even hot?!?  the kids were great...really great.  all of them.  we stayed until 3:30!!...for sure some kind of record for our family.  

could it be that they are growing up and getting easier to take places?!?!?!  we did have a couple of mascot sightings (the only tears of the day)...not sure where shamu ranks among the Easter bunny, chick fil cow and the Big H at the rodeo??? 

beckett was tall enough for the rides!!!  he was THRILLED!

emery was a super trooper!  literally loved every minute and walked the entire time!!  skipped a nap 2 days in a row.  she parties hard.

hyatt hill country

we are just back from a fun weekend in san antonio!!  we stayed @ the hill country hyatt...best decision ever!!!  the kids loved it and so did we!!  they have a playground, lawn, lazy river, volleyball, beach, restaurants, ice cream parlor, etc.  scheduled events for the kids included coloring a stuffed animal, kick ball, make your own ice cream, zoomagination, s'mores, tangled was shown on the lawn at night,  and sooo much more!!!  it was out of control.  so perfect!!!

we had so much fun @ the leaman ranch last weekend!!!  i have posted about the ranch on here before...truly the most amazing place i have ever been.  and i know, a ranch sounds really hot for the end of july.  but not when you have cold beer, a pool and your own personal lake!!  lovely :)

late friday night, rachel and i decided we were really into the olympics and made big plans for saturday.  i won't bore you with all of the details (because they would never be as funny!)...just know that we made big screwdrivers saturday morning and headed to columbus wal-mart!!!
