loving Fall...

i love fall. weather cool enough for walks. football weekends. gumbo. pumpkin patches. pumpkin bread. halloween decor. halloween parties. halloween candy :) such a fun time of year...knowing that thanksgiving and then christmas are right around the corner.

this post was actually going to be about ebay. but as i was going through my pictures for the post, i found these from last year in the pumpkin patch. so cute. i love seeing how much they change from year to year.

little miss in the patch. i am praying this dress fits again this year. you can't really tell from the picture but there are pink squirrels and pink leaves w/ orange pumpkins...cordouroy (spelling?) trust me- it is adorable.
and mr. b...god he is was so cute!! still is :)

sooo...back to ebay. i seriously question the intelligence of the people using that site. 2 years ago i bought the below monkey costume for around $65. last year, as i went through my halloween storage, i found the costume. i decided i probably wouldn't ever have beckett wear it and decided to try selling it on ebay. why not right? i didn't care what it sold for...it was just going to be sitting in a box in my attic. so..i put it on there...and it sold for $64. that's right...$1 short of what i had originally paid. CRAZINESS!!! who buys something used to save $1?? it's not like the monkey had been discontinued...sites still sell it today.

so this year, i again got out my halloween storage box from the attic. i find ellis' costume from when she was 6 months old sitting in there and the kids costumes from last year. these costume weren't $65...each one was around $20-$25...so i had never thought about selling them. but then i thought why wouldn't i? so last week i put them on ebay...and guess what...they all sold for MORE THAN I PAID. it has got to be a joke right? it's like people think everything on ebay is a deal and they just get crazy. i was amazed. they sell the below dog and cat costume as i type for like $20.

dog costume...bought for $22...sold for $25

black cat...bought for $22...sold for $26

duck costume...bought for $20...sold for $40!!!! from the children's place. i can't get over it. if you have never used ebay, it is so so easy. if i can do it, anyone can. it is the best way to get rid of something for sure!
