just when i thought it couldn't get any worse than eggos

you might remember that last year for mother's day at school, ellis did a Q&A in front of her class (every kid participated).  one of the questions was what's your mom's best dish?  her answer: eggos.  embarrassing!

or so i thought!!  this year, i was greeted @ open house tonight with this little gem from her "all about me" workbook).

she also apparently wants to be a cheerleader when she grows up.  ambitious :)

today was rodeo day @ school...pictures to come (after i download!)  emery also made her debut at the children's museum.  lots of fun :)  i have the CRAZIEST month coming up...spring break, beckett's birthday party, emery's birthday party, my half marathon, shell houston open, ellis' birthday party, and a trip to disney.  all of those things happen before april 4th.  crazy, right?  and shhhhhhh....disney is a surprise.  the kids have no idea!!!  we are waking ellis up for her birthday and heading for the airport.  i am so excited i can hardly stand it!!!!!  she is going to freak!

i flew solo all weekend.  well not exactly solo...as all 3 kids were here with me.  and by weekend i mean 8:30 friday morning till 6:30 sunday night.  3 full ass days.  my mom, dad, brother, husband, etc. ALL went to RENO, NV.  for what you ask??  a bowling tournament.  yes, you read that right :)

we dropped daddy @ the airport bright and early friday morning and then partied like rock stars.  we filled our time like this:

we had our low moments too.  it isn't all rainbows and unicorns here @ the house.  i mean, beckett does live here :)  here, he spilled his entire dinner.  that would be cooked rice.  you know, the kind that doesn't really sweep up.  awesome.  

can you even believe that is what my closet used to look like??  so much worse in person too...yikes.

in his sister's cheerleading shoes.  his underwear ALWAYS on backwards.  he was born a superstar :)

rite of passage

 she had her first ever grilled cheese sammy today for lunch...and grapes (also a first)...she ate EVERY BITE!  no more baby food...and we are so close to being finished with bottles.  should be the easiest transition ever since she is always caught chugging out of her brother's sippy cup :)

mistake

sorry i have been MIA!  i had the crazy idea to do some "science experiments" with the kids.  ok...it was more like ellis' idea...but still crazy.  beckett and science just aren't ready for each other :)  anyways...long story short, the computer charger that you see in the picture ended up in a glass of water.  we have NO IDEA how this happened (suuuuure).  the computer died and i couldn't blog until i got a new one.  i'm ba-aaaaack  :)

it was big news at our house...

ellis' soccer team would be purple this year.  no more of that bright orange and black...yuk. LIGHT purple uniforms...not dark (because there is a big difference you know!)  she was soo excited.  we already had lavender bows, lavender pom pons, even a lavender PONY!!  oh yeah, i should mention they are the "purple ponies"...duh.  

here they are :)  i think 10 of her best little girlfriends from the neighborhood are on the team too.  fun for them, and fun for the parents ;)  guess who they are sizing up...or staring down???

the competition.  how dare they?!?  try to outstage our girls by wearing PINK!  i think they were called "glitter".  i have to admit, i am loving that name :)
