achilles heel

beckett has a lot of things going for him...cute, smart, funny as hell, personality overload, etc.  he does have a weakness though (other than being crazy in general...we are talking specifics here!)...people in costume.  he goes bonkers.  i mean REALLY bonkers.  he cries, shakes, and trembles with fear...you have never seen anything like it.  for realz.  

here we are at Easter brunch.  he had been talking about how excited he was to see the Easter bunny.  when he got his first look @ the bunny, i have NEVER seen him this scared...paralyzed with fear.  and this was from across the golf course.  please look @ him in the lower left of the picture.  shortly after this, he hid under a chair....still crying and shaking.  it is soooo hard not to laugh, so we just do :)

please ignore the rest of us...we weren't ready.  we were laughing too hard.  

people in costume have ruined other events for us this year too :)  clifford the big red dog was @ ellis' book fair @ school.  soooo petrified we had to leave...

the rainforest cafe mascot killed dinner during spring break....why do they even have this character?!?

this guy turns up WAY too often...fall festival, during a meal @ chick-fil-a of course, and he brings lunch to beckett's school sometimes.  the teachers report back to me after every incident.  traumatic.

can't forget "big H" (as we called him) at the rodeo this year.  omg.  this one really brought the LOLs.  after he sees one of these mascots, he can't concentrate on ANYTHING other than "where is it?!?!?"  

so many mascots i could talk about...sooo little time.  he is my little nut job...kinda makes him even more lovable :)
