colorado Iphone pics...the beginning

so far the trip has been perfection!!  here are random pics from my phone :)  don't worry- i also brought my REAL camera for the first time in FOREVER!

this one is 6 going on 14...buying (with her own $) and reading the teeny bopper mags.  and then filling me in on all the gossip!  i am actually supposed to be taking all of her $ from her- she charged $300 on in app purchases on her ipad.  yowza.  brandon and i blame each other :)

beckett sat by grant, emery sat by bo (lol) and i got ellis. meaning, i got to enjoy myself!

when my parents told us they were taking the entire family snow skiing for spring break , i was told i had one job- find the place for us to stay.  no problemo.  i searched and searched and found the house you see in the pictures below.  i love it.  but there was a problem :(  already booked for texas spring break.  BOO!  so what do we do??  change houses?  hell no.  we pull our kids out of school!!!!  i am SO excited i can hardly stand it!!!  all of the kids have their ski gear ready to go!!  pink moon boots?  check :)  aspen here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a feeling the kids will live in the hot tub :) maybe me too!

first dance!

the elementary school held a father-daughter dance for valentine's day as a fundraiser.  SO CUTE!!!  and along with any respectable dance comes a pre-party, an after party and a slumber party...right?!?!?!  i know all of mine did :)  two other little girls and their families came over for pictures, dinner, and drinks...the girls rode off in a convertible when it was time to head out (they loved this)...the dad's reported that the girls had quite a time dancing...the videos proved it :) FUN!!!

she is growing up SO fast!!!  brandon said she TOTALLY reminded him of me...he said she gave him all of her stuff to hold and then ran off with her friends :) lol.  sounds nothing like me!!!!  :)

i love having a little girl!!  this is when it gets SO fun!!!  dresses & dances & slumber parties oh my :)

superbowl sunday = ellis' new fav day

this was our first year to take the kids to a superbowl party (they are usually with a sitter!).  we headed over to a neighbor's house and like any good superbowl party,  there were squares up for grabs.  ellis discovered this little chart right away and asked for some $ to fill her name in.  no problem.  she waited by the chart until it was full and then helped ms. jill draw the numbers that go across the top and down the side.  she was then obsessed with the score and whose square was winning.  she didn't win the first quarter or the half :( and it was time for the kids to go to bebe's since there was school the next day (yes, they got to spend the night on a school night!)  the night went on, purple dranks (intentional misspelling) were flowing (i was a raven for the night) and ellis won 3RD QUARTER AND FINAL SCORE!!!!  

how awesome is that?  

 when i walked into bebe's house the next morning at 7:00 a.m., ellis came RUNNING to me asking who won 3rd and final.  i had to tell her the truth...no choice right?  she knew the amount that was up for grabs and would have heard the truth from someone eventually.  she couldn't believe it!!!  neither could i!  $150 :)  i don't think she will ever miss another superbowl party!

she hasn't spent any of the money...BUT she did give her brother $40 for new skylanders.  so nice :)

my photographer, who happens to be one of my bff's in the neighborhood, is posting her fall sessions on her blog right now...and made me realize i never posted them on my blog!!! i love, love, love them.  the picture below totally captures each one's personality.  emery is a spunky, happy, little spitfire.  ellis is a basically a perfect child.  and beckett is sweet, loving and so very sensitive.  i used this one on the christmas card...and never get tired of looking at it!!!
