max & ruby

our favorite cartoon on noggin is Max & Ruby. it is about a little girl and her kid brother who is always getting up in her business...basically the story of ellis' life :) no matter what she is doing, max (beckett) somehow screws it up...but then they always make peace by the end of the show. noggin describes the show on it's website as this:

a half-hour animated comedy series based on the children's books by Rosemary Wells. Each episode centers on Max, a determined three-year-old bunny, and his big sister, Ruby, a smart, goal-oriented seven-year-old. The show offers an empowering message for children by showing Max and Ruby playing together and resolving their differences in ways that are respectful and supportive.

it is really cute :) and ellis will sometimes call beckett "max"...in the same tone ruby says it when she is upset with him...maaa-aaax...i think bebe started this. if ellis is doing a craft, he is right there...pulling the paper down, reaching for the crayons and putting them in the dog's water. if she has all of her ponies lined up to play, has a tea party set up, or even just watching tv...you can bet beckett will be there to destroy her plan.

there was one max and ruby in particular that hit close to home. max got into ruby's jewerly. oh. my. god. beckett lives for ellis' jewelry box. i have no idea why...maybe it is all the shiny little trinkets??? maybe because he wants to be like his sissy. whatever it is...almost daily he will come out of her room w/ bracelets and necklaces on. and believe me...she doesn't put them on him :)

just a few of her baubles :) i actually just ordered her some DARLING jewelry from crewcuts. it is all so cute...i can't stand it. i figure if she is going to be such a jewelry nut, she is going to wear cute jewelry. she has a minimum of 3 rings, 2 bracelets and 2 necklaces on lately. and she counts how many rings you have on (including strangers) to make sure she has more.

and PLEASE look at this one. it is a christmas ornament. but she wears it as a dangly bracelet. her obsession with sleeping beauty is getting out of hand.

i am off to the movies...yippee!! and i get to sleep in tomorrow!!! kiddos are w/ bebe and bo. i hope they are good so they are invited back :)
