60!

my mom put it on her facebook status so i am assuming she won't mind her age being the title of this post :) bebe is 60!!! we are celebrating at L'Auberge du Lac in Lake Charles...can't wait!! birthdays are a big deal to ellis and beckett so we had to pretend yesterday was bebe's birthday...present, dinner, etc. they LOVE the "birthday girl" (as they call her)...ellis did special drawings and beckett wore red (everytime he sees anything red he screams "there's bebes favorite color").

anyways...they are staying here. 3 kids at a casino just sounds like work (what? 3 kids anywhere is work!!!) but we actually did it when it was just ellis...she went to vegas at 14 months old :) and she talks about it like she remembers it...."well, when i was in vegas...."

my FAIRY princess...

ainsley and reese-y (as beckett calls her) came over. the kids all played dress up while the adults enjoyed cocktails :) here comes my princess...so proud of himself w/ his "geeerl dress" (girl dress) on...brandon begged me to put the camera away. not a chance!

he put on a little recital for us...i would also like to note that beckett is FINALLY getting more teeth in...he looks like a hillbilly w/ those gaps :) how cute is he in this though?

brandon drew the line when beckett brought down this pink feather trimmed cowgirl hat to finish his ensemble...not his best photo but the only one i got of the hat :)

brandon got "iced"

have you heard of it?? "icing", or getting "iced", is a drinking game...the rules are simple: if a person sees a smirnoff ice, he or she must get down on one knee and chug it...unless they happen to be carrying their own smirnoff, in which case they can "ice block", or refract the punishment back onto the attacker. there are websites dedicated to creative ways people have iced their friends. here are a few: one guy buried one in his friend's protein powder. another guy fedExed one to his friend's office. and a bride put one in her garter belt for the groom to find under her dress at the reception. of course, it is totally nerdy...but i think that's the point :)

so my brother did it to brandon last weekend. grant put it in the kid's cabinet and told brandon that beckett wanted some milk. he got ICED. so silly but so very entertaining. grant had been iced by his friends the weekend before...in his golf bag...grabbing for a ball out on the course.

chug it! you can see ellis looking on...she thinks this game is THE BEST THING EVER. she asks me multiple times a day if we can ice daddy.

susie (brandon's mom) drinks smirnoff ice sometimes...the reason we had it at the house. so she was like...ummm...awesome...so this whole game is making fun of what i drink???

the girl (my first girl)

i knew ellis would smile...but sometimes she does fake smiles that are not cute. or she is smiling but not looking at the camera. she can't ALWAYS be perfect :) i think this first one is my favorite...

and she is the reason for all of the purple. i got their outfits for these pictures before emery was even born...when ellis was in her "purple is the only color in the world" phase. i wasn't sure how long it would last and i sure as hell wasn't taking any chances :)

the boy

if you know beckett, then you know smiling is his favorite hobby. unless he is in a mood :) i promised the kids we would go to on the park in kingwood where they could pick any toy they wanted if they cooperated for the pictures. they delivered...so off we went. ellis picked a princess dress-up thing that contains approximately 80 very small pieces. horrible. the shoes are literally the size of emery's little toe nail. brandon said he picked up a cracker crumb off the ground that actually turned out to be a bracelet for one of the princesses.

beckett on the other hand...an ENTIRE store filled with every kind of toy imaginable...he picked a piece of taffy. that's it. he wanted nothing else. works for me! here he is...mr. smiley pants.

little em

even though she ain't so little, i call her little em a lot :) the pictures we had taken were really for her. i had pics taken of ellis and beckett both at 3 months old by the same photographer. we love mackenzie...and what made it EVEN BETTER was that i won a session with her at our Mothers Against Cancer luncheon. sweet. without furthur ado, here is little em!

normally i LOVE pictures in black and white...but i can't resist her blue eyes and little pink lips in these pictures. so kissable. more to come...i know you can't wait :)

sneak peek

i am still in shock. my kids did the impossible. we actually had a successful photo shoot w/ a 3 month old, a 2 yr old (who is bat shit crazy), and a 4 year old. not only were there no tears, there wasn't even a whine. ALL smiles. we just took them on thursday...so HUMID. and my photographer had them ready friday morning because she is leaving for costa rica...yay for her and yay for me!

when beckett decides he likes something, he is all in. he loved mackenzie (the photog) and has been begging to go back to her house for more pictures. WTF is wrong w/ my son?!?
