halloween. final.

we went to a halloween party last weekend (a really fun halloween party...too much fun was had by all actually!!)  brandon and i went as beckett and ellis...and it was all in the details :)

i of course had a huge bow in my hair (which was curled in ringlets).  lots of homemade necklaces and princess jewelry.  princess shirt, tutu, and clear plastic heels.  i also carried a barbie purse for my gloss, drank out of a princess thermos, and chipped away at my pink, painted nails.

beckett wore a longhorn shirt (because that is what he wants to wear everyday to school...it is a battle every morning) with paint all over it.  he also usually has food all over his shirt, but we figured that may have gotten stinky.  he wore his favorite green visor (his golf hat) w/ a touch of marker on his face.  band-aid on the knee and crocs w/ scooby doo jibbitz.  beckett also drank out of a lightening mcqueen sippy cup all night (w/ the top off).

pumpkin monster

that is the pumpkin monster.  i am room mom for ellis' class this year...which really just means you plan the holiday parties!!  fun fun!  parties consist of a snack, a craft, a game, and usually a book.  our game was "feed the pumpkin monster".  ellis and i made the monster...which explains why SHE is purple in color and has a bow on her head :)  the game was to stand behind the line and throw candy corn into her mouth...a little twist on the old bean bag toss.  i also had the pleasure of making a blue one too...just for fun...can't leave little brother out of the fun :)

i am just about halloweened out!

halloween is a crazy busy holiday.  there is more build up for halloween than than there is for christmas.  we have been to the pumpkin patch countless times, halloween parties @ school, halloween parade, halloween playgroup, a pumpkin carving party...tomorrow we are doing zoo boo, saturday is fall festival and then sunday the big day is FINALLY here!!!

this was ellis' costume for school...we couldn't pass it up when we saw it :) you can't tell from the picture, but it is covered in red sequins.  fabulous.

we got it from marshalls...they have THE BEST costumes....great quality and inexpensive

and here is beckett.  this is his alternative look :)  how cute are his skinny jeans?!?  they are from the gap and i am pretty sure they really are skinny jeans.  perfect color for horns games...

his class isn't allowed to dress up...too hard with so many in the class that aren't potty trained (of course we aren't one of them!).  oh- and can you tell his hair was CHOPPED again???  

spooked

we were spooked!

we came home one day to find a ghost hanging on our front door and all of the goodies you see in the picture (including champagne for the adults...bonus points to the spooker!)  when you get spooked, you then go spook someone else w/ fun treats!!  love it :)  you then hang the ghost out front so people know you have already been spooked.  the kids were thrilled...almost like christmas morning!
