christmas!

we had a perfectly wonderful christmas...the kids are at the BEST ages!!!  i think i say this every year but i feel so lucky that my family and brandon's family get along so great.  makes holidays SO easy :)

we decorated cookies on christmas eve...the kids even had a surprise playdate with ainsley and reese.  can you see the peace sign in the middle of the angel??  what is it about 1st graders and peace signs?!

i got to run in my faire isle running tights...only 11 days till the marathon.  i have major concerns since all i have been doing is eating & drinking too much and sleeping too little.  ugh.

 this might be my favorite picture...ellis with her souped up 64 GB ipad and cash.  nish gave them each a box of cash to open...$100 in ones and they all thought they were RICH!!!  hilarious.

we had chef charles clark cooking for us again.  AMAZING paella. to die for.  he is a ton of fun too..

last weekend the kids went caroling with 28 of their best friends!  fun, right?  debra had everyone over for s'mores, games, pajama exchange, pizza, etc.  then all 31 kids piled into a trailer filled with hay and caroled all around fall creek.  SO STINKIN' CUTE!!

pls look @ the volume of presents....and she isn't finished.  there are sooo many...the picture doesn't do it justice...crazy!!!!!!!  piles and piles...stuffed back to the wall...

i can't blame them :) at the beginning of december, she takes them to the store and lets each one pick their favorite wrapping paper...and all of their presents are wrapped in that paper...no need for name tags!

daisies!

 ellis is a daisy!  meaning a first grade girl scout :)  we have a great group of girls and moms...should be a fun year.  when i showed her the uniform she said "sweet...so i am on the blue team?"  i explained that it wasn't a team kind of thing :)  then she put the uniform on.  she looked in the mirror and said "mom, i look like a worker at walmart with this jacket on".  i about died.  because she is SO right....lol lol lol. i can't take them seriously now....

a very pretty christmas

for the last few christmases, i went crazy with color and candy decor...super fun, super bright...the kids loved it.  this year i decided to change it up a bit.  all neutral...gasp!   i LOVE it.  my kids do not.  well, really ellis.  she was very confused over the burlap around the base of the tree and basically disgusted by the burlap ribbon on the tree...calling it "bird poop".  she then asked where their stockings were.  i told her they had been ordered and were on the way.  i knew what was coming next..."what color is my new stocking?"  burlap.  then came the tears.  oops.

it's pretty right??  and they can go to bebe's for fun, crazy christmas :)
