galveston

gotta squeeze in this last summer post while it is still summer!!  

my super fun and super duper sweet friend had us to her amazing beach house again in galveston!!  yippee!!  even brandon got to go this time :)   and i have to say it was BEAUTIFUL..."it" being, galveston.  the water was CLEAR and even if there had been seaweed (which there wasn't) she has a handy dandy little guy that comes with his handy dandy piece of equipment and makes the beach PRISTINE for you.  love.

the kids love the sand in galveston because you can easily build things.  the sand in destin is awesome, but like sugar, so kind of a problem when it comes to building cinderella's castle ya know?

last days of summer

only 3 more days of summer in the exnicious household!!  or 5 if you count the weekend :)  ellis starts kindergarten on monday...and she has to be there @ 8 a.m.!!!  meaning, she has to be fed, dressed, hair done, lunch made, backpack ready and THERE by 8 a.m.!!!  how is this going to happen?  all of my kids are sleeping till well past 8 these days...and we stay in jammies until as late as possible!!  ugh.

mom prom

mothers against cancer held a mom prom on friday night at walden country club....sooo much fun!!  the idea was to wear an old prom homecoming, bridesmaid dress, etc.  i didn't have anything in the closet so i hit up jc penny's after prom sale :)  too many to choose from!!  40 gals from fall creek came to my house for a pre-party and the bus picked us up @ 7...drinking and dancing till 11...dj played fab songs.

training for the marathon in 100 degree weather is super fun.  look @ the perfect shirt we (debra and i) found while shopping together!!!  i am running the marathon with her and it was totally an "i will if you will" situation...

less than 2 weeks till school starts!  i have two crazy weekends ahead so we aren't slowing down just yet :)

kindergarten party

a girl from the neighborhood hosted three kindergarten parties this summer so that the kids could meet and would see some familiar faces on the first day.  great idea, right??  she has an amazing house and pool and went ALL OUT on the parties.  i am pretty sure ellis met NOBODY new...she and ainsley swam around with each other the whole time :)  but it was fun for the moms to chat...and the dads to drink beer (of course)...

 i think there were around 30 kids at this one...how ginormous is that pool?!?

can you believe she starts in LESS THAN 3 WEEKS!?!  scary!!  ellis, bebe and i are off to the galleria tomorrow to find that perfect first day outfit :)  stay tuned...you know there will be pics!
