surfside

2 hours after landing from the abacos, we were in the car with the kids on the way to surfside.  crazy, right?  we rented a house with 3 other families...friends from college :)  8 adults and 8 children...ellis being the oldest!!  so much fun!!  there was a nasty stomach bug that ran thru the house, hitting all 3 of my children at different times.  awesome.  luckily, kids are pretty resilient and they got right back to the fun...

 the wind picked up this baby pool about 2 minutes after this picture...emery went FLYING thru the air...brandon somehow caught her.  it was crazy!

 the house was BRAND NEW.  as in, we were the first peeps to stay there.  the deck was ginormous...so perfect for kids...

attacked

emery was attacked on the splash pad @ kingwood country club today.  this evil little creature walked up to my sweet, unassuming emery and bit her ON THE FACE.  emery was literally just standing, smiling, splashing...and out of nowhere...screaming, tears, blood...i didn't even realize what happened until i saw the teeth marks on her face.  i mean, are you f*cking kidding me?  i am so thankful that my kids aren't/weren't biters.  what a terrible little habit.  the biter was an 18 month old little girl!!!  what do you say as a mom??  "um...sorry my kid just bit your kid's face off...i hope it doesn't scar"?  emery was IN SHOCK and frankly, so was i.  disgusting.  i had never wanted to beat some 18 month old ass until today :)

i was on foxnews today (like i am everyday) and saw the article "5 hot spots for celeb travel"...clicked on it.  you will never guess what was on there?!?!  jk...i bet you figured it out :)  i will post link but just in case you don't want to click, i will copy/paste for ya!  go to the abacos!!!!  they even mention nippers...the CRAZY bar :)

How the Glitterati do the Bahamas: Hopping Islands Beyond Atlantis

Many people don't realize there are actually 700 little islands that make up the whole of The Bahamas, so the archipelago doesn't begin or end with the legendary Atlantis. Beyond the Vegas-meets-Disney-style Bahamian resort and the cruise ship stopover town of Nassau, there lie less touched islands littering the Caribbean Sea with tiny paradises seducing the likes of Beyonce and Jay-Z (again), Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Julia Roberts, and Jennifer Aniston.
Cay hopping through Abaco was how B&J celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary. They reserved the top floor at their favorite restaurant, Nipper's on Guana Cay for family and friends.

Lenny Kravitz and Celine Dion are partial to Eleuthera. So too are Mariah and Nick Cannon who wed there three years go. The event was held at Pineapple Fields luxury resort. Eleuthera is also where Kravitz owns a home and a bar/music venue, Elvina’s.

Harbour Island, meanwhile, is the stomping ground for Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer, Susan Sarandon, Robin Williams, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz, who stay at the Pink Sands Resort. Stroll along the three-mile beach and you might bump into Harbour Island homeowners: Bill Gates, Diane Von Furstenberg, Elle Macpherson and Patti LaBelle. They live in charming New England style homes - and when they feel like it - contribute to the glamorous nightlife.
