he thinks he's the sh*t

beckett is BONKERS for golf.  when he finds out he is invited for a round it is ALL he can talk about until the tee time arrives.  he has no problem hanging for the entire 18 holes.  the guys (bo, grant, beckett and brandon) had a 9:30 a.m. tee time on christmas eve.  so...you can only imagine his excitement when bebe and bo let him open a present early.  his very own set of golf clubs. OMG.  they are quite possibly the cutest thing i have EVER seen.   here he is before his tee time on christmas eve :)  i mean seriously?? so adorable.  

 he did not have time for me.  no "geeeeels" allowed as he would say!

when he opened the gift, he hit balls for 2.5 hours straight.  6-8:30 p.m.  he had to be woken up @ 9 a.m. to make the tee time.  i also LOVE his LOVE for golf.  4 hours w/ beckett out of the house??  merry christmas to me!!!!!!  a big thank you to bo for supporting beckett's favorite hobby :)

cookies for santa

i am not a baker.  i *might* try to become a baker when emery is like 10 years old.  until then, i will save the HUGE mess for just a few times a year.  one of those times being cookies for santa of course :)  i do understand that it would be much less of a mess if i didn't have my little helpers...but where is the fun in that??  i let them do ALL OF IT by themselves.  the measuring, pouring, egg cracking, mixing, rolling, decorating...you get the picture.  they were so very proud of themselves...

exhausted

christmas is exhausting.  i wish i could sleep for the next week!!  or at least until new years eve :)  we truly had the best time though.  the kids were spoiled beyond words.  and so were we :)  i feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!  i will post more later...after i sleep!!  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

reindeer poop

i saw these pooping reindeer at urban outfitters and immediately thought of my kids :)  sweet, right?  you load the reindeer w/ poop (brown jellybeans) and then when you lift his tail, he poops.  i got them each their own...they were thrilled.  beckett only got to make his poop a few times because he ate every jellybean as it was pooped out.  then i got to hear him begging ellis for her reindeer poop all afternoon :)

skater girl

we took full advantage of the kids (okay, beckett) feeling better and headed out for a day of fun in the woodlands.  we also managed to squeeze a little shopping in :)  first up, lunch at the cheesecake factory...and then a boat ride.  there were other kids on the boat too so they had a blast...bebe had them looking for alligators and hippos.  and yelling MERRY CHRISTMAS to EVERY person the boat passed :)

up next was ice skating. wow...what an experience.  the rink is right by the mall and is pretty perfect for kids.  that is, if your kid would actually go out there!

i signed them up, paid, and got the skates on.  then beckett decides, eff this.  not going.  i did get a picture with the skates though (i phone).

and if you are wondering why his pants look like huckleberry finn, that would be because he fell in the fountain making wishes outside of the mall!!!!!!!

here is ellis who did love skating.  they have these walkers to use if you want too.  kinda funny and really kinda sad too...because they all look like little crippled kids while "skating" who are severely handicapped...

 i did convince beckett to come out and ride on the walker...what a nut...he says skating is just for girls :)

the red nosed reindeer

beckett LOVES rudolph.  when he was sick last week, bebe brought him this very large one to cheer him up (ellis went ballistic cause "she loves rudolph too"...but that is another story).  the first thing he said when he saw rudolph was "look!  he has a penis just like me!!"
