at least she can't be accused of having adult help :)

ellis wanted to enter the storybook character pumpkin decorating contest being held by the library @ FC elementary.  she chose strawberry shortcake because she found a pink wig upstairs in the playroom :)  she then used a green visor of beckett's and a pink shower cap with red circles painted on it.  and then of course...there's that face...perfection.  it is on display at the book fair all week and i am just praying her name isn't on it :)

gone fishin'

i am so sorry faithful blog checkers!!!  this is the longest i have ever gone without a post!!!  i have been running, mothers against cancer-ing, and just generally getting into any trouble i can find :)  sunday morning i ran the houston half marathon...and can i just say i did awesome???  1:43:10.  i kinda shocked myself.  brandon ran it too (with a friend) and then 3 couples went to brunch where i ate this:

fried chicken sliders...soo good.  i also started with queso and finished with mimosas :) barf.  but you can do that right after you burn 1300 or so calories!

and while i was running, my kids were fishing with bebe and bo!!  they have a little lake that is stocked literally 10 feet from their house.  the kids are obsessed and the fish were biting like crazy...so so so fun!!!  

emery had the right idea...

the weather was so pretty...so happy fall is really here!!!  and i promise to update more often!

pool and beach

lots of hours clocked in the pool...lots and lots.  we even made it down to the beach a couple of times...we were the only people down there...literally.  kinda cool...
