twinsies

someone mentioned the other day that beckett looked just like brandon.  that person was wrong :)  i randomly came across this picture of me at 3 1/2 yrs old just a few days later.  it is literally like looking @ a picture of beckett!!  so crazy...

if he wasn't being completely goofy for the picture that i tried to take of him in the same position (yeah right) you would see the resemblance :)

we are off to meet his new preschool teacher in the morning!  and class starts tuesday!!!  yippee...

kindergarten!

kindergarten is just fabulous...ellis LOVES it!!  of course,  i expected nothing less.  ainsley is in her class and her teacher is young and fun :)  this is what she was supposed to wear on her first day...but she had the rash and needed a little more coverage :)  speaking of the rash...it is still not 100% gone.  we were back at the doctor's office on friday.  they literally have NO idea what it could be from.  6 doctors looked @ her (he went and got ALL of his partners) and they all had differing opinions.  whatev.  we came home with 6 prescriptions btwn emery and ellis.  emery is also on the mend but not 100% either.

p.s.-  i took all of the kids with me (by myself) to the med center for the above appt.  we were there for over 2 hours.  once in the room, beckett is climbing the walls and jumping on furniture, emery is FREAKING out because she knows an examination room when she sees one, and ellis has removed all clothing so they can get a good look @ her rash.  one of the partners came in, observed the scene, and said, "we aren't planning on having more children are we?".  it was really funny...especially since i had just been thinking of a way to get rid of one of them.  kidding.  

i tried to talk her into wearing this little number.  she wanted no part of it!  in fact, don't ever mention you saw the below pictures of her.  she would cry. a lot.  i know this because i joking told her i put them on facebook one day.  real tears.

she was HORRIFIED when she saw this picture and how my hair was cut when i was her age.  she truly felt sorry for me and lost a lot of respect for bebe :)

the biggest problem in my life right now: skin

spent the afternoon @ texas children's to see beckett's dermatologist.  the funny thing is that by the time the appointment came around, his skin was a non-issue and the girls looked like they should be taken away from me and given to a nice new family.  so...if you are wondering why i haven't posted pics from the first day of kindergarten, the reason is because ellis won't let me take her picture.  and rightfully so!  she has something called fifths disease.  it is totally heinous and must be some kind of mean joke that she has it for the start of kindergarten.  luckily, she is a confident little girl and it somehow doesn't bother her?!?!?  clearly, she is not my daughter :)  

and then there is emery.  we were in kingwood for a happy hour like THREE weeks ago and she was bitten by mosquitos.  well, she still has them but they have morphed into these GINORMOUS sores that she keeps messing with.  i do neosporin, bandaids, long sleeved jammies, everything you can think of.  so disgusting.  

beckett's lovely doctor helped me with prescriptions for all three...what a nightmare.  ellis' rash should last another week or so...emery has antibiotic ointments...and on a positive note, beckett's skin is looking good :)

river trip

our 2nd annual fall creek river trip.  ridiculous amount of fun!!!  8 couples away from their kids for the weekend...things get crazy :)  i already can't wait for next year...

back to school update coming tomorrow...she loved it!

galveston

gotta squeeze in this last summer post while it is still summer!!  

my super fun and super duper sweet friend had us to her amazing beach house again in galveston!!  yippee!!  even brandon got to go this time :)   and i have to say it was BEAUTIFUL..."it" being, galveston.  the water was CLEAR and even if there had been seaweed (which there wasn't) she has a handy dandy little guy that comes with his handy dandy piece of equipment and makes the beach PRISTINE for you.  love.

the kids love the sand in galveston because you can easily build things.  the sand in destin is awesome, but like sugar, so kind of a problem when it comes to building cinderella's castle ya know?

last days of summer

only 3 more days of summer in the exnicious household!!  or 5 if you count the weekend :)  ellis starts kindergarten on monday...and she has to be there @ 8 a.m.!!!  meaning, she has to be fed, dressed, hair done, lunch made, backpack ready and THERE by 8 a.m.!!!  how is this going to happen?  all of my kids are sleeping till well past 8 these days...and we stay in jammies until as late as possible!!  ugh.

mom prom

mothers against cancer held a mom prom on friday night at walden country club....sooo much fun!!  the idea was to wear an old prom homecoming, bridesmaid dress, etc.  i didn't have anything in the closet so i hit up jc penny's after prom sale :)  too many to choose from!!  40 gals from fall creek came to my house for a pre-party and the bus picked us up @ 7...drinking and dancing till 11...dj played fab songs.
